Solus Support Services provides personalized in-home senior care that helps older adults age in place safely and comfortably across Ontario. Our services include Personal Support Worker (PSW) care, companionship, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, respite care, palliative and end-of-life care, post-hospital recovery, mobility assistance, medication reminders, meal preparation, overnight care, 24-hour care, live-in caregiver services, and specialized behavioural and psychosocial support. Every service is tailored to promote independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life, helping seniors remain in the comfort of their own homes.

Yes. Our team works closely with physicians, registered nurses (RNs), registered practical nurses (RPNs), case managers, hospitals, rehabilitation teams, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our services complement each client’s medical, therapeutic, and personal care plans.

We provide in-home senior care services throughout Ontario, including Barrie, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Halton, Peel, Niagara Region, St. Catharines, and surrounding communities. Our services are available in private homes, retirement residences, assisted living settings, and other community settings.

Yes. Solus Support Services offers flexible 24-hour care, overnight care, live-in caregiver services, and around-the-clock support for seniors who need continuous assistance. This model is ideal for individuals with dementia, complex medical conditions, mobility challenges, or increasing care needs who wish to remain safely at home. We work with families and healthcare professionals to create personalized schedules that provide peace of mind while supporting independence and successful aging in place.

Solus Support Services is a locally owned Ontario company co-founded by James Gillam and Paul McCormack. Our leadership team remains actively involved in day-to-day operations, enabling us to deliver responsive, personalized service and exceptional support to clients and families.

Anyone can contact us for support. Referrals are welcome from families, seniors, physicians, hospitals, case managers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and hospital discharge planners. A physician’s referral is not required to begin the intake process.

In many cases, services can begin within 24 to 48 hours, depending on your location and care needs. We understand that support is often urgently needed after a hospital discharge, a change in health, or an unexpected family situation. Our team works quickly to assess your needs, match you with the right support professional, and arrange services as soon as possible.

Yes. We specialize in hospital-to-home transition services, offering support after surgery, illness, injury, or hospitalization. Our goal is to promote recovery, reduce the risk of hospital readmission, and help clients regain confidence as they recover safely at home.
