Our mission is to support them to live as independently as possible; encouraging and assisting them to enjoy and live life to the fullest. HOME CARE

Our Home care and support allows you the flexibility to continue to live independently in your own home.

Solus Support Services provides high quality care to people experiencing psycho social and behavioural challenges to support you in being as independent as possible within your home and community.

Our Home care program is built around you to support you in maintaining your chosen lifestyle from a daily visit for a few hours up to 24 hours per day. We believe that each customer is unique, with their own individual preferences and needs. So, we keep you in control and provide you with the care and support you want, where and when you want it.

All of our home care services are tailored around your needs and it is a great way to stay at home instead of going to a residential care home. Our home care services are not just here to support you at home, but to support you to continue living your life, the way you want to. We’re able to take you to doctors appointments, shopping, to meet up with your friends and family, to support you to live an independent life.
Our services allow you, and your family, the peace of mind needed to keep you in your home.
Home care covers a variety of services, which can range from companionship visits through to complex care needs related to behaviour that might otherwise prevent continuing community based living.
Our home care service is tailored around each individual customer.
Our dedicated team of home care assistants (Enhanced Personal Support Workers) are fully trained to:
Helping you start the day; getting up, washed, dressed and having a good breakfast
Support with medication; remind and assist you in taking medicines, as well as collect or return medication from your pharmacy
Mealtime; prepare meals with or for you and assist you at mealtimes
Outings; shop with you or help you to make a shopping list, go to the grocery store, plus come back and put it all away
Household; help with your laundry or ironing and keep your home clean and tidy
Social outings; support you with social activities like going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family or going to your church or club
Personal care; a little pampering when you need it
At the end of each day, some help with getting ready for bed

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT

If the time comes that you or your loved one decides to live in a residential program or long term care environment we are here to provide continuity of care and supplementary staffing supports to ensure that they receive the care and support they deserve.

Our Enhanced Personal Support Workers are experienced and committed professionals:

Skills to implement behavioural programming
Skills to implement life skills and social skills programming
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Undergone an extensive interview and reference check process
Have passed a criminal reference (Vulnerable Sector Screening) check
Hold First Aid and CPR Certification
Completed post secondary education
Minimum 2 Years related experience
Servicing home health care in Hamilton, Niagara, Cambridge, Halton Peel, Toronto, and Durham
